Clamshell Relay Race and Raffle!

The 26th Annual Peaks Island Clamshell Race is just a few weeks away! This madcap relay has everything—strange and wonderful awards, tasty treats, and amazing raffle prizes.

The race starts at the entrance to the Lion’s Club. Boom! (That’s the starting cannon.)  One relay partner runs to the 5th Maine, picks up a clamshell and heads back to the starting line. The clamshell is given to the relay partner. (We call this the “handoff.”)  The second runner ambles down Island Avenue... past Hannigan’s, past Brad’s bike shop, down to Centennial Beach and returns to the starting line, which is now... the finish line. Whew.

HAVE FUN AND HELP US RAISE MONEY TO TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION OF ISLAND HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS! All proceeds from the relay fund annual scholarships awarded to islanders studying for healthcare careers.
