Family Medicine
The Maine Medical Partners Family Medicine goal is keeping families healthy, offering a medical home, where year round and seasonal islanders and visitors can go for help with any health issue they face. The staff provides preventative care, physical exams, treatment for illness and injuries, and help with emotional or behavioral issues and has connections to laboratory services and a full range of specialists. For issues and emergencies arising when the island center is closed, affiliated mainland services are only a telephone call and short distance away.

Not a Maine Medical Partners patient? Not a problem.
The Peaks Island Health Center will see patients for lab work and acute care who have primary care physicians in other practices. However, people with insurance may want to consult with their insurance company.

Returning Summer Residents
People needing lab work should call the Peaks Island Health Center for an appointment and bring, or fax, a written order from their primary care physician.
